Dr. K. G. Sudhier is Assistant Professor in the School of Communication, Dept. of Library & Information Science at Central University of Tamil Nadu, Tiruvarur. He has a PhD and MLISc from University of Kerala and MSc (Physics) from Aligarh Muslim University. His work has been dedicated to Informteric study of Physiscs research in the University of Kerala and the IISc, Bangalore. His current research interests include Scientometrics, Bibliometric laws, Citation Analysis, Scholarly Communication, social media and Digital Libraries. With more than 150 research publications in refereed journals, national and international conferences, book chapters and popular articles, he is identified as one of the most prolific and highly cited Indian contributor in the area of scientometrics and scholarly publications. He is currently the Principal Investigator of a DST project on the mapping of bioinformatics research in India. Dr. Sudhier is the author of the books entitled ‘Informteric studies’ forwarded by Dr. Gangan Prathap. One of his papers published in DESIDOC Journal of Library & Information Technology (DRDO) was the top cited article in the journal. He is serving as editorial board members for five journals and reviewer for another nine national and international journals. He has also organized and chaired numerous conferences, seminars and workshops in the area of LIS. He is frequently invited as chairperson and keynote speaker in seminars and conferences and as a resource person across the country.
