Perspectives and Use of ResearchGate by the Research Scholars of the University of Burdwan, Burdwan West Bengal, India: A Study

Abstract


The research scholars in the Universities have their academic social network site, in which they updated their scholarly work by creating profiles and to communicate with fellow scholars. This social network is popularly known as Research Gate. This case study elucidates the benefits which the scholars gain from Research Gate. This particular social site is very popular among the research scholars of Burdwan University, of all the motives of joining Research Gate, the main reason is to link with of the scholars who have common areas of interest. They also get a chance to read the articles of the scholars and review such papers. Thus Research Gate aids scholars to accustom themselves with latest developments in their field of research.
