Abstract

This paper is based on a bibliometric study of research articles published in the Journal of the Indian Law Institute (JILI) from 2000 to 2018. The study helps to understand the patterns and distribution of articles in different areas especially from the perspective of geographical regions and authorship patterns. The study focuses on the number of references cited per article and cross-citations of the references in articles published in the journal. The present study is based on 247 articles published in the journal from 2000-2018. The study finds that number of references increased year by year which indicates the scope of research has been on rise.
