International University Library's Weblogs: A Content Analysis

Abstract


Abstract:  A blog is a website having distinct features. It is a website where users can write stuff on an ongoing basis, so the new entries/post are available on top of the blogs, and it is visible for users to read it every time they visit the blog; they can read, comments on the post and connect with the blogger. The present study is based on 30 international University libraries' Weblogs selected from Times Higher World Reputation Ranking universities. The selected universities' library weblogs contents were analyzed by setting some parameters, data collection was done,  and the statistical analysis Chi square test was applied. The study's main objective was to analyze the library weblogs' contents available on their particular web pages. To find out the status of providing information and services online to their reader, given the ranking to Library weblogs based on the quantity and availability of their contents.
