National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2018: An Analysis of Engineering Colleges

Abstract


The aim of this study is to analysis performance of self-financing engineering colleges and compare with five candidate institutions based on the data collected from the NIRF 2018 ranking. In this short communication, we compare the performance of self-financing engineering colleges and compare it with candidate institutions. Results show that there is no appreciable difference between self-financing engineering colleges and candidate institutions except in the number of full time research students, patents and perception. It is also evidenced that autonomous institutions perform well.
